Jezebelle was born in Massachusetts--to parents Carmine and Hope Sinclair--and lived there for her first seven years. Her father was given a job offer to move to New York and work at the Medical Arts Hospital. Most offers he refused, but this one he just couldn't pass up. It was a six-figure salary, of course--just like his current one--but it still consisted of a good raise in pay, not to mention the prospect of very good bonuses. He accepted it, though it meant that his wife would have to find a job in the New York area. It certainly wouldn't be as quick of a transition for her mother as it was for him. But she applied for a job with Columbia University, and was given a job starting the following semester as an Art History Professor.
Growing up, Hope took Jezebelle all around the world, touring this museum and that one... Her father stayed home to work at the hospital, so these trips were mother-daughter time. Her mother's love and passion for art influenced Jezebelle's outlook on the world--or maybe just her outlook on decor and design. She saw many great works that her mother taught about in her classes--at least what was left of them after the war. It was a nice childhood. What girl wouldn't want to be whisked away to every beautiful city the world had to offer?
Like most children, Jezebelle was never consistent on "what she wanted to be when she grew up." One week it was a veterinarian, the next a ballerina, only to be something different later on. When she was in High School and it came time for her to make her decision so she could be on the right path in preparing for college, she was at a loss. She had no idea what she wanted to do. None. Her father hoped and encouraged her to be a doctor, lawyer, judge, or something else along those lines. She couldn't help but wrinkle her nose whenever he spoke of this. At least, until her mother would give her the look, and she'd have to smile and be polite about it. Hope, on the other hand, was much more open minded about her daughter's future. She didn't want or need her daughter to have some prestigious job with a 6+ figure salary. She just wanted her daughter to be happy, and encouraged her to do what made her that.
Still undecided in where her future will take her, Jezebelle's currently enrolled at Columbia University. Though some find it odd--why pay all that money when she had no idea what she wants to do? Answer is simple. Her mother works there, and as an employee benefit, her children get to go to school there with significantly reduced tuition rates. Ah, the perks..
